We learned that the most important thing to know about your amazing body is how to take care of it. As part of your commitment to live at 100:100— 100% for 10 years—we’re going to take a deeper dive into how to take care of your amazing body. We’ll look at the body of a child, woman, man, and senior. It will be an interesting ride. Now let’s take a look at your child’s amazing body.
Internal Communication System
Your child (or grandchild) was born perfect, but are they perfectly healthy? Even modern birth is not without its stresses for both mother and child. From head compression to the bodily systems beginning to function independently outside of the womb, there is a lot going on regarding your child’s health from the moment they are born.
Regardless of age, the nervous system is in control when it comes to your body’s internal communication system. Any type of interference in that system can result in problems for infants, babies, and children in the same way it can for adults. From infancy through death, subluxations or nerve irritations are an unavoidable part of everyday life for us all. Before lifestyle choices come into play, nerve irritation in the uterus can occur. Irritation can be due to positioning of the baby, toxins, and complicated birth including too long or too fast labor.
Tumbles, Stumbles, and Life
Colic, problems suckling and breastfeeding, lack of quality sleep, poor digestion, and developmental delays can all affect infants. They are also all things that can be treated by a visit to the chiropractor.
As your child grows and develops coordination, learning to walk will inevitably result in stumbles and tumbles. Poor posture, exposure to chemicals and toxins and drugs will affect your child’s health and their body’s internal communication system.
Later, sports, carrying heavy book bags, cellphone hunchback, academic stress, and so many other aspects of childhood which are today considered commonplace, will continue to affect that internal communication system.
Lifestyle Care
Making lifestyle care with your chiropractor a regular part of your child’s wellness practice you will be giving them the support they need to maximize their neural plasticity allowing them to maximize their brain and nerve development and learning. Spinal subluxations can alter the function of your child’s nervous system and affect their health on every level— even though they may lie asymptomatic for decades.
Chiropractic examination evaluates the health of the spinal column and nervous system and supports your child’s body by assuring their maximum health and wellbeing. You will be giving them the tools they need to deal with everything from allergies and colds to poor concentration, to digestive problems and behavioral disorders.
100 Years of Life Ahead
As you watch your child grow, you will come to understand just how amazing their body truly is. As you work with a chiropractor for your family’s needs—from birth to death—you will fully understand what their body needs to achieve maximum health, come to understand what it doesn’t need, and learn to make the right choices.
Your child might have 100 years of life ahead of them. Be sure to do everything you can to make them the healthiest 100 years possible. Find a chiropractor near you today. It’s never too early—or too late—to begin 100:100—living at 100% for 100 years!
