If you knew you'd live to 100, how would you change your life today?

Your Healthy Longevity Makes You an Activist

Whether you realize it or not, maintaining your healthy longevity makes you an activist. It makes you a force to be reckoned with. The government must take your political clout and voting power into account on every issue. Business – big or small – must recognize your wants, needs, and purchasing power. Even the media must recognize the need to accurately and positively portray you in everything from advertising to movies.

Making Change

An activist is defined as someone who is actively campaigning for change.

By living your 100 Year Lifestyle, at 100% for 100 years or more, you are crushing previously accepted norms. You’re also shining light on misconceptions and busting through stereotypes.

Today, as Baby Boomers have impacted issues such as civil rights, the women’s movement, climate change, and others, they are also changing our perceptions about and ways of dealing with aging in America.

New Ways

The old stereotypes no longer apply. There are centenarians showing us that they can be physically fit, independent, tech-savvy, and contributing members of society.

Many people are coming out of retirement – or never retiring in the first place – working well into their 70s, 80s, and beyond. The common perception of older employees has shifted from “over the hill” to “seasoned and experienced.” Change isn’t coming, it’s been happening for quite some time and is continuing to happen.

Responsibility and Choices

Your healthy longevity impacts everything – for you, your family, your community, and the generations to come. Your healthy longevity is your birthright. It’s also your responsibility.

Today, people who are living healthy and independently, loving what they do, and contributing to society are creating not only the world we live in today, but the one our children will inherit tomorrow. It is imperative that our healthy longevity be complete with a healthy lifestyle that includes community, relationships, nutritious food, meaningful work, passions, exercise, time spent in nature, and all the best that life has to offer.

So, if you haven’t been thinking of the choices you make, big or small, as having an impact on anyone other than yourself, think again. The good news is you are not alone! According to the World Health Organization, by 2030, 1 in 6 people in the world will be aged 60 years or over. By 2050, the world’s population of people aged 60 years and older will double to 2.1 billion. By 2050, the number of 80 year olds or older will have tripled from what it was in 2020 – reaching 426 million. That’s a lot of activists!

100 Year Lifestyle History

If you’ve been living your 100 Year Lifestyle, we appreciate you being a member of our community and applaud the activist that you are!
